New Anglian Water Pipeline – Info
Hello,
My name’s Ashton, and I’m a Customer Experience Specialist for Anglian Water. I’m writing to let you know about some work we’re due to start soon nearby. The work’s part of a £590,000 investment in your area to stop bursts and leaks and replace the old pipes, with new!
The project’s due to start in September and is due to last around 10 weeks, before we start, we’ll be coming to do some investigation work, which will involve digging some areas along our pipeline route, you can see the route attached. This will last for up to two weeks. During our investigation work there will be traffic management in place which you can see in the letter attached. This letter will be sent out to customers this week.

Defibrillator & CPR Familiarisation Training
The Parish Council is now able to offer Defibrillator and CPR familiarisation training at long last!
Thu 30th June at 7pm in the Memorial Hall.
Mr Andrew Pover of the Walpoles Community First Responders is offering free training for the community to come and see how the AED works and to get hands on with it to provide you with the confidence to use it should you ever find yourself in the unfortunate position to need it. He will also cover the basics of how to deal with choking and carrying out CPR.
This training is free due to the benevolence of the Memorial Hall Ctte and Walpoles CFR.

Active Norfolk partners with Norfolk Assistance Scheme (NAS) and Alive West Norfolk to offer free gym memberships to those on low income and struggling with mental health in West Norfolk.
Active Norfolk and the Norfolk Assistance Scheme (NAS) have partnered up to run a short pilot scheme in West Norfolk. Through this scheme, we’ll be offering three months gym membership at any Alive West Norfolk gym. Eligible participants will also be able to apply for £50 to spend on gym clothing.
This scheme is aimed at those on low income, and who are experiencing feelings of loneliness or social isolation, or struggling with their mental health. It’s currently only available in West Norfolk, but we hope to be able to review this after the initial pilot scheme to determine whether it’s possible to roll it out across the rest of the county.
Through this scheme, we hope to make physical activity more accessible to those on lower incomes who might not otherwise benefit from it. In turn, being more physically active can make vital contributions towards improving mental health and wellbeing.
If found eligible after applying through the Norfolk Assistance Scheme, the free membership will cover gym, swimming and classes, and it can be used at Alive Lynnsport, Alive St James, Alive Downham or Alive Oasis (Hunstanton). A148 Nar Ouse Way Road Closure
In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate emergency flooding relief the use by vehicles of the A148 Nar Ouse Way from a point 390m south of its junction with A148 Out South Gates (Southgates Roundabout) in a southerly direction for a distance of 100m in the BOROUGH OF KING’S LYNN will be temporarily prohibited from 8th to 12th February 2021 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 5 days within the period. If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 21 days.
Alternative route is via:- A148 Nar Ouse Way, A47 Trunk Road From The Pullover Roundabout To The Hardwick Roundabout, A47 J A148 Join E, A47 Through J A148 E, A47 From J A148 To J A10/a149 Larger Roundabout E, A47 J A10/a149 Overbridge E, A47 J A10/a149 Larger Of Two Roundabouts, A149 Hardwick Road, and vice-versa (North Runcton/ Kings Lynn/ Saddlebow).
